JOINED OXFORD COMMUNITY SCHOOLS
December 1999

After graduating from Oakland University, I was offered a Graduate Assistanceship where my focus of study was curriculum, instruction, and leadership. My duties included research within the Pontiac School District and placement of undergraduate students in their field positions.

My husband and I moved to Oxford in 1998. I was a guest teacher in the district until December 1999, when I became an official, full-time Oxford Wildcat. From December 1999 through the 2009 - 2010 school year I taught fourth grade at Lakeville Elementary.

Currently, I am the IB coordinator for both Lakeville and Leonard Elementary schools. With this job, I find myself working closely, once again, with curriculum and instruction. As IB coordinator, my main responsibility is to oversee the implementation of the Primary Years Programme at both schools. Currently, my focus is working collaboratively with staff on developing written curriculum and implementing this inquiry-based instructional program. It is an honor to work with both schools as we strive to establish ourselves as International Baccalaureate Schools.
