Dear Lakeville Families,
I wanted to make you aware of an incident that occurred today, Oct. 26, involving a student at Lakeville Elementary. Earlier today a student made a verbal threat to their peers. Staff was made aware immediately by students who heard the threat. In collaboration with our School Resource Officer, we immediately began to investigate the concern and followed our threat assessment protocols. Although we cannot share further details with you due to the Federal Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), we can share with you that students are in not in any danger.
Parents, please talk to your students and remind them that threats of any kind are not acceptable and students who make them will face disciplinary measures in line with our school code of conduct. We are thankful to our students who reported this information to adults.
